You get what you negotiate.

If you really belong to the best, you show that in the salary negotiation. And prepares meticulously: What are other employers paying? What special qualifications do I bring? What is the salary level in the company?

The first clues will be a search on the web for keywords such as "wage levels" or "salary comparisons". Also, ask employees in the industry or, better still, in the business; Study relevant collective agreements. In short: research!
